Biography
Born in 2004 in Esch‑sur‑Alzette, Luxembourgish trumpeter Daniel Migliosi is already establishing himself as one of the most promising voices on the young European scene. Trained at the conservatory of Esch and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, he quickly drew attention with his debut album “Left On Scene”, praised for the maturity of his writing and the strength of his playing, well beyond his young age. Rooted in both tradition and the present, he draws on hard bop, swing, and modern jazz to develop a sound that is at once lyrical and incisive, driven by a strong melodic sense.
At the helm of his own formations – quintet and quartet – Daniel performs regularly on club and festival stages across Europe, from Luxembourg to France and Germany, where his band is noted for its energy, cohesion, and appetite for risk. His projects have already led him to collaborate with some of the most inspiring musicians of the new European generation, and to be noticed by major institutions such as the WDR Big Band, which selected him for its “Young Composers Fellowship” programme.
With his new album “Paris Réunion”, Daniel takes things a step further. Conceived as a bridge between the Parisian jazz club tradition, the vitality of the Luxembourg scene, and a resolutely contemporary style of writing, this record confirms his status as an artist to watch very closely. Jazz Magazine has already highlighted the striking personality of this young trumpeter and the confidence with which he positions himself in the lineage of the greats while asserting a singular voice, seeing in him one of the musicians destined to make headlines in the jazz world in the very near future.
At just twenty years old, Daniel Migliosi is thus emerging as a natural leader, an inspired composer, and an improviser with an already remarkably accomplished voice, driven by a clear ambition: to keep the jazz tradition alive by projecting it confidently into tomorrow.

« A musician, who after the convincing calling card that his album constitues, can certainly surprise us and continue to provide us with his invigorating pleasure. Looking forward seeing him on stage so that he can confirm all the good things we think of him. »
