\u201cMoving On\u201d is the second studio album by the Fred Barreto Group, released on 1 October 2021, and it firmly asserts the blues\u2011rock identity of the Luxembourg\u2011based quartet. Across 11 tracks, the powerful, expressive guitar of Brazilian frontman Fred Barreto combines with a tight rhythm section and warm keyboards in a blend of rock, blues, funk, and soul influences.<\/p>\n

Driven by songs such as \u201cLiving and Loving\u201d, \u201cDream Again\u201d, \u201cFor So Long\u201d, and the title track \u201cMoving On\u201d, the album radiates a distinctly live energy, with a massive yet precise sound, recorded and produced by Mike Butcher (notably known for his work with Black Sabbath and Rod Stewart). The compositions shift between heavy riffs, funk\u2011tinged grooves, and more melodic passages, while maintaining an organic through\u2011line that highlights the cohesion of the band: Fred Barreto (guitar\/vocals), Nadja Prange (organ), Daniel Fastro (bass), and Michael Stein (drums).<\/p>\n
