Since the early 1990s, this Piedmont\u2011born musician has established himself as one of the essential horn players on the European scene, notably as a member of Michel Petrucciani\u2019s sextet, Michel Portal\u2019s quintet, and Stefano di Battista\u2019s groups.<\/p>\nOn \u201cLetting Go\u201d, Flavio Boltro is fully involved in the conception of the album. Together with the trumpeter, Greg Lamy has built a strong musical rapport, which they deepened over numerous concerts across Europe before considering a studio recording. \u201cI knew we would meet again in the studio,\u201d Flavio confides. This need to hone their instincts and experience emotions on stage can be felt in the cohesion and spontaneity of the band.
