BOOK THE BAND

A neon-lit blend of dark pop, 80s synthesizers and restless electronic pulse.

Enter the kaleidoscopic world of THEM LIGHTS, the Luxembourg-based duo, formed by producers, songwriters and performers Sacha Hanlet and Sergio Manique.

While some listeners know Sacha Hanlet from the instrumental math-rock outfit MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY and its kinetic touring history across Europe, Asia and North America, THEM LIGHTS explores a different frequency entirely, crafting dense, dark and experimental soundscapes, where raw emotion collides with distorted textures and instinct takes precedence over convention.

Built around a shared language of production, the duo creates music that thrives in tension. Dense layers of dark electronica collide with raw performances, fragmented textures and sudden shifts between fragility and chaos. Their songs unfold instinctively, intimate one moment, explosive the next, balancing emotional weight with unexpected rhythmic turns and a fearless sense of sonic experimentation.

The visual universe of THEM LIGHTS stretches beyond music itself. Drawing from Sacha Hanlet’s background in lighting design and visual arts, alongside the duo’s fascination with cinematic worlds, their aesthetic unfolds through haunted dreamscapes and subconscious imagery.

Somewhere between experimental pop, electronic disintegration and emotional catharsis, THEM LIGHTS is often described like the unholy union of James Blake, The Mars Volta.
