Six-string bass compositions where melodic motion, layered loops and shifting textures turn a single instrument into a complete sonic world.

Bruno Tauzin is a French bassist, composer and educator whose path naturally connects the stage, instrumental writing and teaching. For nearly two decades, he has developed an approach to the bass that is precise, musical and accessible, grounded in tone, rhythm, listening and the pleasure of playing. Creator of BasseBruno.com and later ProfDeBasse.com, he has become a leading French language reference for online bass learning. Author of more than 70 educational methods published by Play Music editions, he supports musicians of all levels through lessons, sheet music, playbacks, videos and masterclasses. His educational content spans a wide range of practices including groove, walking bass, slap, harmony, improvisation, funk, rock, blues and soul, all built around the same goal: giving everyone concrete tools to develop a genuine musical identity.

This teaching work has grown alongside a strong digital presence. Bruno Tauzin has built a substantial community around his work, with more than 120,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 22 million views. This success is not based on mere technical demonstration. It comes from a direct, generous and rigorous way of sharing his experience, making the bass approachable and putting musicality at the center of everything.

Behind the teacher and method creator lies, above all, a stage and studio musician. Bruno Tauzin has spent several years pursuing a personal composition practice in which the bass becomes a true narrative instrument. It carries the melodies, creates the harmonies, shapes the rhythms and opens up spaces of color. His instrumental projects, from 12 Miniatures to Mood Loop, reveal a taste for short forms, carefully crafted textures and a style of writing where every note finds its place.

With Mood Loop, Bruno Tauzin develops an intimate and contemporary instrumental music with his Six-Strings Electric Bass and his Looper. It’s built around bass lines, loops, melodic motifs and sound landscapes. The project extends his search as a musician composer: making the bass not only a foundation, but a complete, sensitive and expressive voice.
