Biography
Throughout her career, Claire’s work has been widely recognized on the European scene. She received the title of “Best Upcoming Musician” at the Luxembourg Music Awards, won the First Prize Albert Michiels at the international B‑Jazz competition, as well as the first prize of the Jazz Maastricht Professional Awards with the project Aishinka. In 2022, she was awarded the Global Project Grant (jazz category), which enabled her to develop the multidisciplinary project “The Aquatic Museum,” confirming her status as an award‑winning and essential figure of contemporary Luxembourgish jazz.
As a bandleader, Claire develops ambitious projects such as her debut album “In Geometry” and “The Aquatic Museum,” where composition, visual arts, and storytelling intersect. She performs across Europe with her multinational quintet featuring guitarist Eran Har Even, bassist Pol Belardi, pianist and drummer Jérôme Klein, and drummer Niels Engel, and she collaborates regularly with leading figures of the current scene, including Eran Har Even and drummer Ziv Ravitz, within innovative trios and special projects. With her distinctive tone, strong compositional identity, and marked taste for collaboration, Claire Parsons stands out as one of the most important creative voices of the new generation in European jazz.
