The Greg Lamy Trio brings together lyrical guitar playing, deep groove and a distinctly European jazz sensibility. Led by New Orleans-born guitarist Greg Lamy, the trio moves freely between swing, contemporary jazz and open improvisation, creating music that is both refined and immediate.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Greg Lamy has developed a singular voice through a wide range of collaborations and performances across Europe, the United States, Brazil and beyond. His path has taken him to leading jazz clubs and festivals, from New York’s 55 Bar and Smoke to the London Jazz Festival, Brussels Jazz Festival, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and major stages throughout Europe.

At the heart of the trio is a strong sense of musical conversation. Melodic themes unfold into expansive improvisations; supple rhythms and warm textures create an atmosphere that is at once elegant, energetic and deeply human. Lamy’s guitar playing combines clarity, lyricism and a fearless, electric edge, while leaving generous space for interplay and spontaneous exploration.
