Velvet Organ Indie Pop

Nea Lone

Hammond-led organ pop where neo-soul warmth, hip-hop pulse and rock-edged hooks collide.

Nea Lone is the solo project of Luxembourg-based singer, songwriter and Hammond organ player Nadja Prange. With Double Trouble, her debut album released on 26 January 2024, Prange places an instrument rarely found at the centre of contemporary pop: the Hammond organ. Its grain, warmth and physical presence do not serve as retro decoration here; they become the pulse and defining voice of an original sound world organ pop.Across the album, Hammond lines, electric piano, synth textures, guitar-driven passages and layered vocals meet a rhythm section that moves with ease between groove, tension and release. Double Trouble draws freely from pop, jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul, rock and blues, without treating these references as a checklist. The result is music with melodic clarity and a strong live instinct: songs that hold on to the immediacy of pop while allowing space for instrumental colour, dynamic shifts and soulful interplay.

Prange writes from a place of observation and inner movement. Her songs confront the complexity of being human: connection and distance, resilience and doubt, personal growth, contradictions, and the strange feeling of trying to remain grounded in a world that can seem increasingly unreal. Rather than offering simple answers, Nea Lone turns these tensions into hooks, grooves and vivid musical images.

On stage, Nea Lone brings Double Trouble to life as a full-band experience. Nadja Prange leads from Hammond organ, keyboards and voice, joined by Fred Barreto on guitar and backing vocals, Tanja Duprez on keyboards and backing vocals, Max Serra on bass and backing vocals, and Jim Scheck on drums. Together, the band gives the songs a broad, energetic live dimension: the harmonic richness of the Hammond meets sharp guitars, deep grooves, vocal textures and a direct connection with the audience.

Double Trouble is not a nostalgic tribute to classic organ sounds. It is a contemporary, colourful and confident statement from an artist who makes the Hammond speak a new pop language — sensual, groove-led, reflective and built for the stage.

Nea Lone is available as a quintet project.
Line-up can be adapted to the artistic direction, venue capacity and event format.
